This US flag map is a seamless U.S. map filled with the national flag. It has no state boundaries or names. The flag colors have been accurately colored to match the official flag of the United States. This makes for a great desktop computer wallpaper or printed flag map for your home or office. This product does NOT include the states of Alaska or Hawaii and includes only the 48 contiguous states. The flag has a slightly “furled” look inside the US map.

This is NOT a political or physical map of the US, therefore state boundaries, names, rivers, oceans, etc. are NOT included on the US Flag Map. Design Elements and Symbolism

A US Flag Map is a smaller version of the US Flag mapped over the continental US. The official US Flag has 13 horizontal stripes, alternating red and white, symbolizing the 13 original states. A blue rectangle in the canton (upper corner nearest the flag pole) contains 50 white stars, each symbolizing a state. High quality maps of the US Flag have accurate proportions and contain the same colors found on the actual US Flag. Sometimes you can even see the ‘furled’ texture of a waving flag instead of a cold computer generated image. The map of the contiguous states fills the center of the flag image, with Alaska and Hawaii appearing as insets above the canton.

Geographic Scope and Representation

Most US Flag Maps include the contiguous 48 states, covering 3.12 million sq miles / 8,080,000 km squared and comprising the majority of the country’s 330,000,000+ people. This US Map uses a national outline (without internal divisions), showing the whole country and the national symbol of the US Flag. Many designs also exclude Canada and Mexico (the two countries immediately bordering the mainland US) to simplify the Map. Faint boundaries to some other geographical features are also included.
